Before I get into our day, I have a quick little story. While we were at the marina in Fort Myers, two slips down from us-this 80+ foot beautiful boat came in and docked. There was a captain at the helm but the owner was helping with the lines. Jeff strikes up a conversation with him about his boat and all. They chatted quite awhile before he took off down the dock. Later we find out he was Cliff Williams, bass player for AC/DC😆. Jeff said he was a real nice guy.
So we took off from the Marina and headed to Marco Island. Good friends Jim and Joanne have a place there and we managed to coordinate dinner with them. It’s been awhile since we have seen them so this all worked out. It was an absolute gorgeous travel day to be out on the gulf. Once we got into the harbor, we found an anchorage and dropped the hook⚓️. Once settled, we headed in to the dock at the dolphin tiki hut. We met Jim and Joanne in the parking lot and drove to a restaurant called Mangos. It was on the water overlooking a harbor just on the other side of a spit of land from our boat. The food was delicious! I had an Ahi Tuna Poke bowl that really was yummy😋 the night was filled with catching up conversations along with many laughs and stories. We made it back to the boat to find it was exactly where we left it. It’s great when that happens🤣
