Today Jeff wins the prize! 🏆 After quite a few phone calls and some serious persistence, he not only tracked down the part we needed, but convinced them to drop-ship it straight to us. Now we’re crossing our fingers that it shows up in the next couple of days so we can get everything fixed and get back on the move.
In the meantime, the steady winds have been rocking us to sleep every night here at the dock. I honestly never realized just how windy Florida can be in the winter… but apparently it’s very much a thing. 🌬️ The boat has basically turned into a gently swaying cradle each night.
We’re just hoping the winds calm down just enough for us to get underway again soon. Don’t get me wrong—this place is absolutely heavenly—but it’s a bit pricier than we’d like to linger at right now, especially with the mechanical bills piling up.
Ah well… boats, right? ⛵💸
