We did it! We officially crossed our wake a little after 12pm. Right where the St. John’s River intersects with the NB ICW. We still had 25 miles to go to get to Doctors Lake Marina where we will keep the boat until sold. These past few days have been filled with conversations about the best parts of trip, the interesting places we saw, the fabulous friends we made along with the stressful times created by weather, mechanical issues, bridge, lock and canal closures. There are many spots we visited that we would someday go back and visit longer. There are also some places we didn’t get to visit which we will someday get to as well. All in, we are both glad we did this. I’ve especially been thinking about my dad so much lately as this was his dream. How it came about for us was pretty special and I am thankful we could do it and hope he’s been watching along the way. Especially when we ran aground on the first day😁
